They made me sit down all day long
And let me wear tight shirts and skirts
They said, 'Don't sit with your legs apart'
They said, 'You are unnecessarily smart'
They asked, 'Why don't you grow your hair?
Why don't you have boobs?
I think you will be pretty with makeup
Why don't you do that?'
They asked, 'Have you had sex?
I thought you haven't'
They asked, 'Do you have a boyfriend?
I thought you do, why don't you?'
They asked, 'When are you gonna marry?
Why don't you want to give birth?'
They said, 'Women don't have to worry about their living'
And stared at me enviously
They asked me, 'Did you refuse properly?
Did you say no? Shout it out loud enough?
Why did you wear that clothes and go there?'
He called me through my friend's phone
He said he will kill himself when I leave him
He said he will spread the video online
I was terrified to imagine him in front of my door

Daydream about Mosquito
03:00
|
|||
One day, while walking in the woods
We gathered under the shade of a tree
And read the prose of a poet
It was early autumn, mosquito season
And one sat on the back of his neck
By the time he noticed and slapped his own neck,
The mosquito had already taken a sip of his blood and left
It was certainly the first time in my life,
Wishing to become a mosquito
So I could kiss his neck
Even just once
Even if I'm slapped to death
By his palm in a few seconds
Even just once
Even if I'm slapped to death

Labelling the violent resistance as massacres
Erasing the context
Labelling resistance against the violence as ‘terrorism’
Giving commands
"Self-defense"
Peacekeeper missiles
Order-maintainer tank
Peacekeeper borders
Order-maintaining
Peacekeeper missiles
Order-maintainer tank
Peacekeeper colonies
Order-maintaining
Peacekeeping
Maintaining order
Peacekeeping
Maintaining order
To label
To command
To conquer
To label
To command
To conquer
To label
To command
To conquer
To label
To command
To conquer
To label
To command
To conquer
To label
To command
To conquer
To rephrase

16 February 2016,
I was stopped by an immigration officer at London airport
and ordered to wait.
My passport was taken away
and I had no choice but to go and sit where he told me to sit.
Two hours passed without any instructions,
then two officers came over, grabbed me by both arms,
and took me to a room in the corner of the airport.
They photographed my face, took my fingerprints,
and rummaged my backpack.
I wondered what the hell I was guilty of.
Alien.
I was a foreigner, not by my choice.
I was something the border guards had to deal with somehow.
Eight hours later, having been lucky enough to be granted entry,
I looked back as I left the prison camp.
The disabled, black, trans, refugees, and gypsies
were still there.
Three years later, when I walked into the pig factory for the first time,
I couldn't help but see the room overlap.
No one deserves to be caged and burned to death.
But I didn't even know who was trapped.
No one deserves to be caged and burned to death.
But some bodies were able to leave the cell
only after being set ablaze.
No one deserves to be caged and burned to death.
But there is life that was born in a cage
and has to walk on its own to the slaughterhouse.
No one deserves to be caged and burned to death.
But someone's dead body has been slowly roasted over a blazing fire.
As long as the embers are not extinguished,
the cage that holds us, that separates us from each other,
will be eternal.

Canaan(Gaza Prologue)

While I sliced my dinner very thin
Blood poured down in your universe
About that lukewarm mundane stench of the blood
I hope no one dares to ask
Terrified flesh of those that have lost their body
Breaths packaged to serve the holy temperature
Please plummet into my gullet again
(without longing for anything)
A new camp has been set up where the trees were
You were naming them with blue spray paint
Then as if you had suddenly gained immortality
Whispered, “God did it.”
Summer was sprung at us
And the crows were giggling (Like nothing had happened)
We threw Issac into a birdcage and deep-fried him
May we be in good health as we drink from Daniel's skull
Let Esther bear a child so that milk will flow
I will tear off the wings of the queen and lick the honey
The ocean rotted and their tongues rose straight
The eyeballs buried in the pit vibrated silently
And the cities avoided their gaze
Nevertheless we will continue beheading them
We will recite redemption as we hammer nails into wombs
The priest of purity with no judgment
Will bless the resurrection of innocent souls
